A key benefit of Creative Cloud is that while it creates the platform for easy collaboration, it also provides the control framework needed to make it fly, with versions shared into the cloud where they can be shared, and the ability to loop stakeholders into the creative process as required in a consolidated workflow.

Reviewers don’t even need a Creative Cloud app to take part in the creative process when their input is required.

An important feature of Creative Cloud is the administrative console in the backend, which allows IT staff to control exactly what each user can do.
“This is a particularly important functionality because data privacy and security have become such major issues, especially since the Protection of Personal Information Act came into effect on 1 July 2021,” Flischman says. “Because everything is happening on a digital platform, there is no need for files containing potentially sensitive or confidential information to be circulating around the e-mail network, or even getting printed.”

Keeping control

The administrative console also allows IT to assign licences dynamically, reallocating them as responsibilities and roles change. Subscription-based licensing also means that the latest version of the software is always in use, and the number of licences can be adjusted each year. Various types of licences are available depending on the business use case. When it comes to control and security, a key feature that businesses find invaluable is the e-signing feature of Adobe’s PDF applications.

As a distributor of Adobe Creative Cloud, Flischman says Axiz is focusing on adopting the same integrated and collaborative approach when it comes to supporting the channel. The company has created an online marketplace where licences can be conveniently purchased online.
