SAP recognises South African customers

SAP has announced the winners of its 2012 SAP Quality Awards for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) for the successful implementations of SAP technology.

Two South African SAP customers, Standard Bank and Rainbow Chicken, were respectively honoured with gold and silver awards.

In addition to winning gold in the Innovation Category, Standard Bank scooped another gold award for the Large Implementation Category. Rainbow Chicken was also awarded silver in the Innovation Category and gold in the Medium Implementation Category.

SAP presents these Quality Awards annually to recognise customers across the EMEA region that have achieved excellent standards of quality management in their SAP projects, delivering significant benefits to their organisations.

As part of the competition, participants from several EMEA countries were shortlisted to present their projects to an external judging panel. Customer projects were judged against adherence to SAP’s quality principles, demonstration of time to value and a focus of how quality excellence was achieved through the entire implementation cycle.

According to SAP, each winning organisation shows that the quality processes they put in place during planning and implementation phases were fundamental to their overall success, resulting in significant business transformation.
